Philosophy Behind having December as Self – Awareness Month


A lot of people struggle during the Christmas season, so the thought behind having December as self awareness month, is simply because we want people to be able to take care for themselves this month. For them to pamper themselves to find new way to make this holiday season, their own.

I know for some it has helped reclaiming the month by making their own traditions so let that be a focus point when you write. Tiny things that might lead them to have small daily joys hopefully making december a better month  

 

We kick of the month the 4th of december with the weekly subject. Stages of of Self – Awareness.


Self – Awareness – What is that?

  • conscious knowledge of one’s own character and feelings.
  • “the process canbe painful but it leads to greater self-awareness”

So now they are aware of themselves – What does that have to do with self – care?

 

Now with their own thoughts and feelings behind being aware of themselves there is a philosophy called “Mindfullness”

Mindfullness as Philosophy and Adding it To nice things we can do for ourselves

It is as stated above. Collect moments not things.
So when you find your topic for your article, think about this philosophy. How can we angle our article so that people get aware of their own thoughts and feelings and at the same time grants themselves time and space for themselves.
This by helping them to identify what Self – Awareness is  and so forth being given a mindful thing to do.


                    ~Think how can we encourage people to be in the moment.~

Example: Go to a coffee shop drink a cup of hot chocolate, close your eyes feel the warmth towards you hands and how the flavour stays in your month. Close your eyes or Observe, be in the moment with your thoughts.

Keep in mind the main goal is that people reading this will in the end slowly integrate the thought and idea of finding mindfulness in all situations during our everyday life. So by suggesting small things like this, we can slowly start to integrate the idea that you can find mindfulness and time to make everyday special, by just feeling the warm water towards your back having a showing. kicking leaves if you are out walking. To learn them to be attentive and in the be Self – Self aware and to find the path towards recovery

Weekly Themes in December

4th of December – Stages of Self – Awareness

  • Chris will write about the different stages of  awareness
  • Thought and idea being able to identify what is happening inside yourself and in that also being aware of the world around you and gain knowledge in regards to reaction patterns. It is crucial to have this ability overcoming abuse.
  • There is no crime to offer methods, inspirations that aims towards: Feelings and ways to cope. Use mindfulness as an example

11th of December – How to make a crisis plan
– A Crisis plan is a plan you make if you are having a period struggling. It goes from what you can do personally and u to when professionals might need to take over (this keep in mind on that level we are not doctors, so don’t give medical advice balance on the line of being a supporter not a doctor)

  • Focus on things to do on a personal level when you are struggling
  • Encourage if needed to form a more professional plan with a councelor or a close contact that knows you.

18th of December – Self affirmation

  • For us it will be about affirming the knowledge that you as a survivor are a fighter. That bad things happen but you can grow and by living through pain being able to transform those experiences, dealing with abuse where like weight lifting. This in such a manner, you came out like “The hulk”
  • Mindfulness techniques and articles that goes towards this subject of self affirmation

25th of December – Mindfullness


Go full blown in dedication to the art of mindfulness. It’s mindfulness week!
